Believe it or not, shipping containers have a lot of great uses they are so much than just a big boring box on the back of a truck driving down the freeway. Aside from being great for the transportation industry, they serve as excellent storage space, workshops and can even be used for indoor gardening and building a home.
Take a look at my top suggestions for putting an old shipping container to good use below. You just might be amazed at all of the different purposes those simple containers can serve. Here you go:
Reason #1: Storage space. Shipping containers are probably one of the most efficient storage containers on the face of the planet. After all, that is what they were designed to do. Their heavy duty steel construction makes them secure and weather proof, so no worries about rain and burglars!

  • Reason #2: Build a workshop. A lot of people don’t ever think about it, but a shipping

container can make a great little workshop for just about any hobby or trade. There is

plenty of standing room as well as room to move around and putting up shelves is a breeze.
Reason #3: Indoor gardening space. Ever wanted an indoor garden to grow your plants and

vegetables all year round? Green houses can get pretty expensive and all you need is a nice

indoor space to set up your lighting and plant beds, a cargo container would be a perfect

    space to use.

Reason #4: Build a green home. Believe it or not, people are building recycled « green »

homes out of shipping containers. See for yourself, just do a quick search on Google and

take a look at the same of custom homes that others have already built. This is a great way

to build your home affordably and while maintaining a low impact, environment friendly

    living space.

  • A great use of the Headlamp is on a pier over the ocean. The beam from the LED shines directly down into the ocean and you will be able to see stingrays as they skim the top of the sand in the ocean at night. You may also get to see some schools of fish as they glisten to the lighting in the ocean.
While these are all good clean fun using an LED Headlamp, there are many major uses to free ones hands up while getting direct light to a certain spot. Such as working under the hood of a car, or even under a car. Not having to hold the flashlight is priceless to be able to work quicker on the job at hand.
Needing to get under the house or crawlspace or even attic to do jobs that would require using a flashlight, again would be an asset for using the Headlamp.

  • Most of us buy few refrigerators in our lifetimes because they just seem to last forever and when you do get one, it is usually because it just came with the house. But, there will be times when you just can’t avoid making this purchase and when you do, you should be looking at an LG refrigerator to replace the one you have.
That being said, even if you are happy with your current refrigerator, if it is older than five years old, it is probably going through a lot more energy than you know and buying a new refrigerator could actually save you a lot of money in the long run. With the refrigerator making up to 25% of the average household’s electricity bill, in these times it is important that you have the most energy efficient model you can find and there are many LG refrigerators that fit the bill.

  • There are many features that make LG refrigerators the standard by which all other refrigerators are measured. Whether you are looking for a side-by-side, a fridge with two bottom freezer compartments, or even a fridge with an actual television screen in the door, LG makes them. If you haven’t been shopping for refrigerators in a few years, then you simply won’t believe the changes that have been made in style and in function.
But perhaps the best part of getting a new refrigerator, even better than all of that extra space or the great way that it looks in your kitchen is the money that you will save. Modern, energy saving refrigerator freezers can easily save you several hundred dollars per year on your energy bill, which over just a few years will more than make up for the cost of that gleaming new appliance in your home.
