Thème WordPress pour photoblog : my photo blog

Nowadays Colored contact lenses have been very popular among teen and young adults. However, colored contact lenses like any other contact lenses are also classified as medical devices Thus proper cleaning and handling of such devices must be adhere to avoid any complication to the eye or vision . Therefore, proper knowledge of handling and caring of colored contact lens is very important. The following are 3 important tips about the color contact lens proper handling and care
Firstly, the shorter the time you wear your contact lenses the better.
For a start especially for beginners, it is recommended to wear your colored lenses in a progressive time frame without stretching the usage time to avoid over straining your eye. The recommended time will be 2 hours for the first day and progressively increase it to 4 hours the second day and then 6 hours for the third day, 8 hours fourth day, 10 hours the fifth day and then 6 day can be normal usage day recommended by your doctors or the lens manufacturer.
In general it will be best not to wear more than 8 hours a day and it is also recommended if you can use it interchangeable with your glasses.
Do Not Wear your colored contact lenses while your sleep, swimming, catches a flu or cold. A person sick with cold or flu may have germs on their hand and it may transfer the germs to your eye when you try to put on your colored lenses. In addition to this, some cold medication when taken prevents tears formation thus your eye will feel dry and easily irritated during this period of time, thus wearing your lenses at this time may cause damage to your eye. (Wear your glasses instead).

Standardised mechanical and quartz watches have been around since the 20th century. Although the first portable watches started appearing in 15th and 16th century Europe, they could not be called accurate or reliable and mostly served an ornamental purpose. So humanity needed to keep track of their time differently – whether they had to measure how long an orator was talking in the senate, how much time a customer had left with a prostitute or how long a farmer could divert water from qanats (water distribution system). During the ages people came up with rather ingenious ways to tell the time.
    Water Clocks
One of the oldest ways of keeping track of time was the water clock also known as clepsydra. Any clock that uses the flowing of water or liquid can be called a water clock and even here there are plenty of different models to choose from. The Fenjaan (water clock) used in Persia reflects people’s degree of inventive ingenuity. They used a big bowl filled with water. Into that big bowl they put a smaller bowl, which had a small hole in the centre. As time passed, the small bowl would start to fill up with water and sink to the bottom of the big bowl. This process always took the same amount of time. An overseer put a stone into a jar for every time the small bowl hit the bottom of the big bowl. When it came to important matter like the distribution of water in a very arid area it was very important that the time was measured as accurately as possible and that nobody was cheated out of their share of water. That’s why the clock required two full-time overseers.

  • It is hard to verify for how long sundials have been around – it is know that Egyptians used obelisks to tell the time of the day as early as 3,500BC, however using the sun’s movement across the sky for measuring time in all likelihood started much earlier. Sundials have to be aligned with the axis of the Earth’s rotation. The gnomon then casts a shadow onto the sundial’s surface, which is prepared with markings and lines that help determine what time of the day it is.
    Incense Clocks
This timekeeper was not as widely spread as the two above. It has its roots in China where it started being used approximately 1,000 years ago. Later on it was also used in Japan. There were several techniques but all clocks burnt incense to measure time. One kind of incense clock measured the passing of time by colour. The incense smoke would be one colour at first and change after a set period of time. Other incense clocks worked with smell rather than colour and others yet again would be burning under a thread with a weight attached to it. At a certain point the incense stick would burn through the thread, releasing the weight, which would then fall onto a piece of metal, creating a loud sound.

  • So how do we enjoy this plethora of new beers and its cousins (and distant relatives)? Straight out of the bottle? In any old glass? Absolutely not. According to beer flavor experts around the country, a beer should be enjoyed in a mug, and the right mug for the right beer is a combination that is just as important, as the right glass for the right type of wine.

  • etatsgeneraux dit :

    So what makes a perfect mug? Here are some things to look for;
    1) Solid base: A solid thick glass base will maintain your beers temperature longer as have considerably better balance over the thin verities.
    2) Thick glass: The thickness of the glass is relevant for the temperature of the beer poured in it. If you like to freeze and frost glasses prior to drinking, a thicker glass will keep the beer temperature longer.
    3) Handle: Many beer drinkers prefer to grab a mug by its body but a smooth comfortable handle actually provides a more balanced and even use
    4) Shape: If you like draughts, pilsner and lager, the Tulip shape is the ideal mug for you. If you like a general American light beer, flavors come to their maximum capacity through an evenly shaped cylinder or what is known as the Harp Nonic Shape.
    5) The « Opening »: The top of the beer should not be closed or captioned like a wine glass, but open to let the beer fully interact with the oxid environment it sits in. This will bring the beer to its fullest capacity.
Good luck in identifying your favorite beer – and the right mug to go with it!

  • As we get older the muscles in our eyes which control close focussing tend to weaken. It’s this unfortunate tendency that leads to you having to hold your newspaper or book further away in order to read. This is a common problem and means that once we’re past 40 many of us ultimately require reading glasses since we don’t have long enough arms. The official term for this deterioration is presbyopia.
If you haven’t had a recent eye test you can estimate what value you need based on your age. If you’re around 40 to 45 you’ll probably need a strength of 1.0 as a rule of thumb for every five years above 45 you can add 0.5 to the requirement.

  • tant-libre dit :

In the event that you still can’t see well or that you’re experiencing headaches then you should consult an optician. It’s likely that your eyes have slightly different values or there may be some other problem such as an astigmatism (indicated on your prescription by a CYL value). In these cases you’ll probably need to have glasses made. But if you just need a little extra magnification in order to read comfortably then non-prescription glasses should serve you well and save you cash. There’s plenty of choice available so you don’t need to compromise on style either.

  • ucacgi dit :

Fortunately this doesn’t necessarily require a visit to the optician as it’s possible to buy non-prescription reading glasses over the counter or online. These ready-made glasses are available in strengths from +1 to +3.5 (effectively the level of magnification) and in a wide range of styles including designer options. Ready-made glasses needn’t break the bank either as there are prices to suit most pockets and they start from just a few pounds. The advantage of low prices is that you can afford to keep several pairs – one at home, one in the office and perhaps one in the car so you’re never caught out by forgetting your glasses. You can also get tinted reading glasses if you like to read outdoors. You can get bifocal versions too so that you can use them for general outdoor wear when it’s sunny and still be able to read comfortably.
